The PARADES

Q. When are the parades?

A. All parades start at 6pm and last for about an hour.
They will take place on Saturday 25.11,23 2.12.23 9.12.23, 16.12.2023

This year will feature an additional welcome home parade on Friday 22.12.2023 at 7pm.

Q. What is the parade route?

A. The parades all follow the same route: Coming from Lewis Road the parade will pass College Street, Plunkett Street, Main Street and High Street.

Q. How long is each parade?

A. Each parade lasts about 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Q. Where is the autism-friendly viewing area?

A. This is located at Aras Padraig on Lewis Road for each parade.

A. This is a special event taking place on Thursday 23th and 30th of November 2023 where participating restaurants in Killarney offer a special 3-course menu for €35.

Q. Where is Santa's grotto?

A. You can book a visit to see Santa at his grotto at Deenagh Lodge, Port Road, Killarney (enter the park opposite the Cathedral). This is a bookable, paid event with all proceeds going back into the festival.

Q. When will Santa's Grotto be open?

A. Santa's grotto will open Thursday to Sunday from 25th November to 23rd December. Opening times are 5pm to 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays as well as 12:30 to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Advance booking is required!

Q. How do I book a visit with Santa?

A. Go here where you can choose your prefered time slot subject to availablity.

Q. I booked a Santa visit but I cannot make it at that time? Can I transfer my booking?

A. Santa bookings are non-refundable and we are unable to facilitate time changes. We suggest you can offer your ticket to a family or friend. 

Q. How do I find out if more Santa spaces become available

A. Please check back on the booking site to check availability. Follow our Facebook and Instagram or join our mailing list for updates should additional time slots open up.

Q. Where is Santa's post box?

A. You can post your letters to Santa at his special post box on College Square, Killarney.
